Colin Fassnidge at Winetopia

Colin Fassnidge food and wine matching are available by purchasing a ticket in advance only. Other sessions are 3 tokens for food and wine pairing, 2 tokens for wine only tastings.

Originally from Dublin, Colin Fassnidge is best known for his long-standing role as judge on My Kitchen Rules and as a chef and restaurateur of Banksia Bistro and the Castlereagh by Fassnidge, both in New South Wales.

Colin will be at Winetopia for all three sessions, sharing a glass with visitors at the Main Stage, cooking up his favourite simple, entertaining dishes to match with wine in the Gaggenau Sommelier Sessions and meeting ticket holders in the Premium Lounge.

Colin is in good company – he will be hosted by TV Presenter and Comedian Ben Hurley on the Main Stage and Fergus Aitken at the Gaggenau Kitchen.

We’re on a mission to find Colin some new favourite wines and with over 50 boutique New Zealand wineries at the event, there more than 250 to try. Like every visitor to Winetopia has come to expect, we have certified gurus on hand to help lead the way. This includes knowledgeable folk like Master of Wine Bob Campbell, wine writer Mermaid Mary and Sommelier Candice Chow who are leading tastings throughout the two days. We are confident Colin and you will go home with some new favourites!

For the food lovers, we will soon be unveiling our featured restaurants for this year who will be at the event serving up their signature dishes. You can enjoy a fantastic lunch or dinner within the event (menu and prices will be posted on the website soon).
